@aufildesoi.bienetreWhat is maderotherapy?
Maderotherapy, or wood therapy, is a wellbeing and beauty technique of Colombian origin: it uses wooden instruments — rollers, cups, boards — to work the tissues vigorously. Here it always ends with a manual drainage. It is a wellbeing practice: it goes alongside the way you live, it does not replace it, and it is not a medical act of any kind.

What it is, and what it is not
Is this for me?
These are the sentences I hear most often on the phone. If one of them could be yours, you are in the right place — and if none of them is, that is not a reason to rule yourself out.
How a session goes, step by step
Allow 1 hour in your diary. Timings here are approximate: if needed, we take the time to welcome whatever needs to be welcomed.
- 10 min
Mapping it out
We decide which areas to work and the intensity that suits you. The wood can be firm: you set the level, and you can bring it back down at any moment.
- 35 min
Working with the wood
Wooden rollers, cups and boards, each with its own use. The movements are rhythmic, always directed towards the drainage areas.
- 15 min
The closing drainage
We always finish with a time of manual drainage, to accompany what has been set moving. That is what I call the Madérosculpt.
The areas of application
This list is translated word for word from what I wrote myself. It describes the areas I work in — not results I promise.
Maderotherapy is a wellbeing and beauty technique. It goes alongside the way you live and does not stand in for medical advice.
After the session
It is the most vigorous session offered here, and you feel it on the way out. Here is what you can expect.
The wood works, the hand finishes.
What people ask me before they come
The questions that come up most often about maderotherapy.
It is firm, never violent. You tell me at any moment if I should ease off, and I adjust straight away.
Slight redness can appear, and it goes within a few hours. If you mark easily, tell me: I adapt the intensity.
No. Maderotherapy works on the silhouette, on firmness and on circulation, and the results are real — but they sit within a whole. It goes alongside how you eat and how you move, it does not stand in for either.
The feeling of lightness is immediate. For visible work on the silhouette, we think in terms of a course: several sessions close together, then more spaced-out upkeep. We talk it through from the first time.
Book this session
1 hour at the practice, in Lyon. Available slots and prices are kept up to date in the online diary — and if you would rather talk first, call me, it is often simpler.
The other sessions
What if you put yourself at the top of the list?
One hour. Nothing to organise, nothing to explain, nothing to get right. Booking takes two minutes, and the room is on 4 place d’Ainay, in the heart of Lyon’s Presqu’île.
