Family constellations
A symbolic approach that sets out the ties of a family system in space, to shed light on what is quietly being replayed there.

@aufildesoi.bienetreWhat is family constellations?
A family constellation is symbolic work: the members of a family system are placed in space — with people in a group, with markers on the floor one to one — so that everyone’s place can be observed. It is neither psychotherapy nor a medical act. It does not replace psychological care, and a session can be emotionally intense: it is something you prepare for.
Appointments by phone only, on 06 98 70 03 47. I organise the sessions myself, and I set the dates of the group constellations.
What if some of the pain were not yours to carry? A symbolic approach that sets out the ties of a family system in space, to shed light on what is quietly being replayed there.
What it is, and what it is not
Is this for me?
These are the sentences I hear most often on the phone. If one of them could be yours, you are in the right place — and if none of them is, that is not a reason to rule yourself out.

How a session goes, step by step
Timings here are approximate: if needed, we take the time to welcome whatever needs to be welcomed.
- 15 min
You put your question
One question, put simply. There is no need to know your family tree or to have dates: we work with what is there.
- 20 min
The placing in space
In a group, you choose participants to stand for the people in your system and you place them in relation to one another. One to one, we use markers set on the floor.
- 45 min
What comes into view
The positions speak for themselves. My role is that of a facilitator: I observe, I suggest moves, I decide nothing in your place.
- 20 min
The closing image
We stop on a settled image, the one you take away with you. No written report, no interpretation imposed. The work carries on inside you over the following weeks.
The areas of application
This list is translated word for word from what I wrote myself. It describes the areas I work in — not results I promise.
Family constellations are a symbolic approach. They are neither psychotherapy nor a medical act, and they do not replace psychological care where that is what is needed.
After the session
It is the session whose effects unfold the most slowly, and that is normal. Do not try to reach a conclusion on the way out.
We look, we feel, we do not conclude.
What people ask me before they come
The questions that come up most often about family constellations.
No. Plenty of people arrive with very little information, sometimes just a feeling. That is enough.
No. One sentence is often enough. You are never required to give details, and you can stop at any moment.
Yes, and it is in fact a very good way to discover the approach without putting yourself at the centre. Plenty of people start that way.
I set it out from the start, because it matters: a constellation is a symbolic approach, not psychotherapy. I make no diagnosis, I promise no cure, and I will never ask you to cut a tie with someone close to you. You are free to stop at any moment. I am trained and qualified by TOTEM Formations, and I would encourage you to put those same questions to anyone you would trust with this work.
By phone only, on 06 98 70 03 47. I organise the constellations myself and I set the dates of the group sessions: we talk it through together, then we choose the format and the date that suit you. This session cannot be booked in the online diary.
